Raymond Chik, Vice President, Engineering
Project management and strategic oversight on engineering design, project budgeting, resourcing and research are Raymond's areas of focus. He brings to Kapik more than 25 years of design and management experience in analog mixed-signal IC.
Before co-founding Kapik, Raymond was at InVisage Inc., where he was a founding member of its chip design team and served as its Director of Mixed-Signal Engineering. Before that, he was the first employee at Snowbush Microelectronics, a premium analog/mixed-signal design services/IP company (acquired by Gennum), Mosaid Semiconductor (acquired by Synopsys) and the Quantum Corporation, where he worked on disk-drive read channel chips.
Raymond brings to Kapik’s engineering team extensive development experience in embedded analog front end designs in areas that include graphics and video display, image sensors, hard-disk drive read channels, Giga-bit SERDES, motion sensors, optical/laser interfaces. He also brings to his role deep experience in working across a wide spectrum of engineering groups, both internal project groups and clients, to deliver products.
Raymond holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a Senior Member of IEEE. Raymond was also a founder of the Toronto Chapter of the IEEE Solid State Society.
